| Free Flowing Powder - | A powder that flows under gravity. How to Test: stick your finger in the powder and then remove it - if your finger hole remains then the powder is cohesive, if the sides of the hole collapse and fill the hole then the powder is free flowing |
| Cohesive Powder - | A powder that does not flow under gravity. How to Test: stick your finger in the powder and then remove it - if your finger hole remains then the powder is cohesive, if the sides of the hole collapse and fill the hole then the powder is free flowing. |
| Unit Dose Sampling - | The size of the sample is the same as (or a simple multiple of) the volume of material required to form a single tablet, capsule etc. |
| Single Point Sampler - | A device that takes one sample at a time |
| Multilevel Sampler - | A device that simultaneously several samples from two or more heights within the product |
| Cross sectional sampler - | A device that simultaneously takes a single sample from a range of heights within the product |
| Discrete Sampler - | A device that takes multiple samples but keeps each sample separate |
| Disposable Sampler - | Single use device that does not have to be cleaned before or after use. |

| Pickle & Passivate - | A chemical process that removes all the waxes and oils on the surface of stainless steel. The process make the surface very smooth but dull. |
| Electropolishing - | An electro-chemical process that gives stainless steel a very high quality, smooth, bright finish |
| Electro-Acid Etching - | A process used to leave a crevice-free, permanent mark on stainless steel. The process is ideal for use on products that will be used in hygienic GMP areas |
